As a new congregation established in 2001, we are communicating the Bible and God's truths in creative, compelling and contemporary ways. What you learn on the weekend, you will be able to use during the week because the messages and topics relate to real life pressures and problems we face.
Here at the Potter's House, you will feel welcome and right at home from the moment you walk in the door. Whether you need a safe environment for your children or a place for your teens to connect, someone will be nearby to help you get where you need to go. You will enjoy our relaxed and casual atmosphere. We are more concerned with meeting your real life needs . . . not what you wear.
If you are looking for a place to experience God, that offers relevant environments and authentic community, then maybe the Potter's House is the place for you. We want you to call the Potter's House your church home and the place that helps you along on life's journey.

Outreach
We talk a lot about purpose, vision and values at the Potter’s House, and they're all built on something as important: our Statement of Faith. These statements are a summary of what we believe the Bible teaches which are the non-negotiable basics of our relationship with Christ.
About God
God is the Creator and Father of the Universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.
About Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days demonstrating His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven where He is the only Mediator between God and people, and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
About the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right.
About Salvation
Salvation is a gift from God to all people. Men and women can never make up for their sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by believing in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can a person be saved from sin's penalty.
About the Bible
The Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is God's word to all. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. The Scriptures are inspired by God, and are infallible and inerrant in the original manuscripts. They are the unique, full and final authority on all matters of faith and practice, and there are no other writings similarly inspired by God.
About Faith and Practice
Scripture is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. We recognize that in areas where Scripture is silent, there may be differences of conviction. Each believer is to be led in those areas by the Lord, to whom he or she alone is ultimately responsible.
Nursery-PK
The Potter's Kids Nursery is a loving and peaceful environment designed to care for and nurture children birth through 24 months.
We recommend parents bring a diaper bag and bottle, both labeled with your child's name. Please feel welcome to bring any comfort items your child might have such as a blanket or favorite toy. You will also want to bring a change of clothes for your child just in case it is needed. The Potter's Kids Nursery is available during adult worship service.
Frequently Asked Questions
How old does my child have to be to start attending the nursery?
Our recommendation is that your child is at least six weeks old prior to bringing him or her to the Potter's Kids Nursery.
How will you contact me if my child needs me?
If your child becomes inconsolable or unwell, your child's Security Code will be shown in the lower left corner of the screens at the front of the Worship Center. If your child’s Security Code appears on the screen, please return to the room where you dropped him or her off.
How does Potter's Kids keep parents involved in their child’s experience at church?
We believe the best way for parents to be involved in what their child is learning is to become a part of the team that teaches your child. Each week, volunteers do everything from greeting families to teaching and leading kids in worship.
How can I volunteer in Potter's Kids?
There are many positions available where you can serve. These include greeting families, teaching, co-teaching, being a part of one of our construction teams and many more.
For more information on how you can be involved, call us at 573-346-3951 or stop by the Guest Services Kiosk on the front porch before or after our weekend service. You can also complete a volunteer application by clicking on the link below.
K-6th Grade
Each weekend your child, kindergarten through sixth grade, can be a part of an exciting and active environment filled with songs, games, and lovable characters that teach Godly values at an age-appropriate level. Our weekend service meets at the same time as adult service, and is designed for all children from Kindergarten through Sixth grade. So while you are experiencing the creative, life-changing worship of The Potter's House, your children are experiencing it as well.

We are Better Together
Home Huddles (H2) are small groups of 8 to 12 people who meet for encouragement, fellowship, Bible study, prayer and accountability.
H2s provide a predictable environment where participants can experience authentic community and spiritual growth. These groups are the heartbeat of the Potter's House.
Why Do We Have Home Huddles?
We believe that life is next to impossible without the help and support of both God and friends. Home Huddles provide the best environment to bring these two dynamics together. We believe that this provides the best place for sustained life change to occur.
Practically speaking, there will never be a way for the staff to personally minister to everyone who attends our church. That is why we place such a high premium on group life. It's how we effectively minister at the Potter's House.
When and Where Do Home Huddles Meet?
Each H2 agrees upon the specifics regarding the location and time of the meeting. Most groups meet weekly in homes. This provides a comfortable atmosphere for the group members to be themselves and know that they are spending time with close friends.
How Long Does a Home Huddle Last?
Most of our H2 groups start out by making an 6 to 8 week commitment. This enables participants to experience community and get a feel for group life before making an extended commitment.

WHAT HAPPENS AT HOME IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN WHAT HAPPENS AT CHURCH
That doesn't mean we don't need church, it just means as the church we need to help the family to be the church 7 days at week at home. As of today, 1 in 10 churched kids get any help at home reading the Bible or praying.

WHY IS IT WHEN A FATHER ACCEPTS CHRIST, 90% OF THE TIME THE ENTIRE FAMILY COMES TO CHRIST? When a mother accepts Christ, it's more like 17% of the time, the rest of the family becomes Christ followers.
DEUTERONOMY 6:7 TELLS US 3 THINGS:
LOVE GOD, TREASURE HIS WORD AND TEACH THIS TO THE NEXT GENERATION.
DID YOU KNOW THAT:
80% of youth today leave their faith after they start college. The majority never return.
MANY PEOPLE RELY ON THE PASTOR, SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER OR YOUTH PASTOR TO BE THE PRIMARY SPIRITUAL influencers of our kids. However, the church only has 40 hours a year with the kids--the family has 3,000 hours a year.
TODAY THERE ARE 28 DEFINITIONS OF THE FAMILY including mother, father and children; single mother with or without children, single father with or without children, grandparents raising children, father 1/2 time with children and 1/2 time with new wife and step children (blended families) etc.
MOST PARENTS WANT TO BE INVOLVED IN THE SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT OF THEIR KIDS' LIVES, BUT just don't know where to begin.
AUGUST 1-29: Monday nights Faith at Home Huddle meets at 6:45pm. in several different homes. Starting August 1, we will be doing a 5 week DVD series entitled Love and Respect. As parents, we need reinforcement as couples in our marriages. Singles too, who may get married or re-married later, can also gain valuable insights on the God-given differences between men and women and how He intends for us to live with one another. It's a fun and helpful seminar and you will find out about the "crazy cycle" when he/she pushes your buttons, as well as, learning the energizing cycle of speaking the language of love to her and respect to him.
Workbooks are $10 each.
